Why start with an evaluation?
Pay for clarity before committing to fabrication under incomplete information.
Evaluations help define scope, identify risk, and prevent a larger project from beginning with assumptions that should have been resolved first.
Tier 1
Standard Evaluation
Best for straightforward repairs, small modifications, custom assemblies, and reasonably defined shop projects.

Tier 2
Technical Evaluation

Evaluation credit
A paid review should move the project forward.
FabProz may credit some or all of an evaluation fee toward qualifying fabrication work when that credit is stated in the evaluation proposal and the project is authorized within the specified period.
Evaluation fees remain earned for the review itself, even when the larger project does not proceed.
What is not included
An evaluation is not licensed engineering or formal certification.
Unless expressly included, evaluations do not provide stamped engineering, code approval, independent listing, permit services, destructive testing, laboratory analysis, or guarantees that a proposed modification will receive third-party approval.
